TS Ed CET Bed Admissions 2020 Notification has announced by Telangana State council of Higher education ,Hyderabad. Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test through Computer Based Test (TS Ed.CET-2020(CBT)) for the year 2020 will be conducted by Osmania University.
Eligibility criteria :
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for TS Ed.CET-2020 (CBT) for admission into 2-year B.Ed Course
I). The candidate should be of Indian Nationality. The candidate should satisfy ‘local’ / ‘non- local’ Status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, as subsequently amended
II) Educational Qualifications : Candidates should have passed or appeared for qualifying examination (a) In any Bachelors Degree i.e., B.A, B.A(oriental Languages), B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM/BBA or in the Masters Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks. (b) Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with Specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% aggregate marks or (c) Any other qualification equivalent thereto. (d) However, for candidates belonging to the reserved categories Viz., SC/ ST/ BC and other reserved categories should have secured 40% Marks in the qualifying examination. (e) The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for TS Ed.CET-2020. (f) Note: As per the GO MS No:13 dated. 27/5/2017, the Candidates possessing MBBS/ BSC (AG) / BVSC/ BHMT/ B.Pharm and such other professional and job oriented degree courses Viz., LLB are not eligible for admission into B.Ed Course. (g) Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken undergraduate study are not eligible for admission
The candidate should have completed the age of 19 years as on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.
Eligibility criteria for the choice of Subject under part-c :
|Mathematics||Candidates with B.A / B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects, B.E / B.Tech with Mathematics or BCA candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as group subject.|
|Physical Sciences||Candidates with B.Sc who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied subjects under Part –II group subjects or B.E / B.Tech with Physics and Chemistry subjects and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate Level as group subject|
|3 Biological Sciences||Candidates with B.Sc / B.Sc (Home Science) who have Studied Botany and Zoology or Allied subjects under part-II group subjects or BCA candidateswith Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.|
|Social Studies||All Candidates with B.A/ B.Com / B.B.M /BBA / B.C.A Candidates with Social Sciences at Intermediate Level as group subject|
|English||The candidates with B.A in Special English / Optional English / English Literature or M.A English|
|Oriental Languages||All Candidates with B.A (Oriental Languages)|
MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE TEST :
The question paper will be in English/Telugu and English / Urdu except for English methodology. However, for BA (Oriental languages) the test will be conducted in the respective languages.
The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test for all the candidates (except SC/ ST) shall be 25% of the aggregate marks (i.e, rounded off to 38 marks). However, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for ranking
However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities shall secure the minimum qualifying marks of 25% marks (i.e. rounded off to 38 marks) in Ed.CET to claim a seat under NCC/Sports and Games/Physically Handicapped/Children of Armed Personnel quota.
RANKING: Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in TS Ed.CET-2020 through online examination. Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken in to account to decide relative ranking.
In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test paper, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of a ward of rank. At the time of admission in to the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidates and the older candidates shall be given priority
